Joh Osborne

Joh’s inspiration for ‘Beautiful Beasts’ is about the celebration of stories of the beastly side that exists in human and animal behaviour.

Joh’s paintings are thoughts and stories captured from her everyday experiences and daily moments.

The strange, humorous, ugly and beautiful.

Her paintings are like childlike portals, parts of herself and her environment depicting places and people around her. It is as much the process of painting as it is the end result.

Joh grew up on a farm in the northern midlands of Tasmania with the freedom of open spaces and animals.

Completing a Bachelor of contemporary arts with Masters at Inveresk Launceston, she then moved to the West coast of Tasmania for some time and now Joh resides in Launceston.
